Dr. Junehong Kim is a cardiologist and the founder and CEO of Tau Medical, established in 2014. His work on minimally invasive cardiovascular therapies began at Pusan National University (PNU) and Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital (PNUYH), where his clinical and academic work continues today.
Before founding Tau Medical, he served as a Senior Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Intervention at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 2005 to 2007, working in translational research and interventional cardiology.
He currently holds dual appointments as Professor of Internal Medicine at PNU and Director of Internal Medicine at PNUYH, and leads the university’s Medical Research Center. He received both his M.D. and Ph.D. from the College of Medicine at Pusan National University.
