Dr. Minku Chon is Chief Medical Officer of Tau Medical and a pioneer in catheter-based structural-heart therapies. A key architect of the company’s Pivot-TR and cerclage programs, he directs clinical strategy and translational research.

With two decades in the cath-lab, Dr. Chon has led complex coronary, peripheral and transcatheter valve interventions, served on the faculties of TCT, EuroPCR and CCT, and published first-in-human device studies in JACC and Heart Rhythm. From August 2023 to July 2024, he broadened his structural-heart work as a Visiting Researcher at Mayo Clinic Florida.

He is Associate Professor of Cardiology at Pusan National University School of Medicine and an interventional cardiologist at its Yangsan Hospital, where he advances device-development research and mentors fellows.

Dr. Chon earned his M.D. and M.S. from Pusan National University and a Ph.D. from Inje University, and holds board certifications and fellowships with the Korean Societies of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
