Dr. Sichan Sung serves as Medical Advisor at Tau Medical, providing strategic clinical guidance across the company’s cardiovascular product portfolio. His deep expertise in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery ensures that Tau’s innovations are grounded in both clinical insight and patient-centered care.

Prior to joining Tau, Dr. Sung held leadership roles at Pusan National University Hospital (PNUH), where he served as Chief and Professor in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is also an active member of the Korean Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, reflecting his standing in the national surgical community.

Dr. Sung earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. from the College of Medicine at Pusan National University, and brings decades of experience at the intersection of academic medicine and translational cardiovascular innovation.
