Tau Medical is one of five Mid-Stage Prize finalists, selected by more than 500 subject-matter experts for value proposition, achievements to date and likelihood to transform care. The finalists will compete live for the $200,000 Grand Prize, and each receives at least $25,000.

Fifteen patients with severe functional TR were treated under fluoroscopy and TTE guidance. Procedural success was achieved in all patients with a mean procedure time of 47 minutes, and TR was reduced by at least one grade in every patient, with no serious adverse events during implantation. Ten patients then went on to surgery and five were stabilized medically, with the device removed percutaneously.
